Next Generation Billionaires

Here they go again, BILLIONAIRES, they’re everywhere…I’m some of us dream of being one. But me? Not thinking about that yet. Having fortunes like them also means huge responsibility and needs security not only for their $$$ but most importantly for themselves.

Here are the current list of the next generation of Billionaires from Forbes.com.

Tiger Woods- When the golf champion returns to the links from a knee injury, he’ll continue a financial rise that could crown him the first billionaire to make his money through sports. We predict it could happen as soon as 2011 because of Tiger’s lucrative endorsement deals.

Roelof Botha- another to keep an eye on. The 34-year-old venture capitalist at Sequoia Capital hit a grand slam with an early investment in YouTube. The deal yielded a 65-fold return for Sequoia, a storied firm that also employs current billionaire Michael Moritz.

Chase Coleman- His Tiger Global fund reportedly returned over 70% after fees last year, a performance over six times better than the hedge fund average. One estimate pegged Coleman’s earnings from his banner year as high as $400 million.

Nishita Shah- She’s just 28 but is one of the richest people in Thailand because of her stake in her family’s sprawling business empire. Last month we estimated her net worth at $375 million. When the stunning heiress is not poring over financial reports or gracing the pages of Thai magazines, she’s planning her upcoming fashion line.

Tyler Perry- banked $125 million last year. The talented Perry, who produces, directs and acts in his creations, earned more than Jennifer Aniston, Tom Cruise and Bon Jovi combined. Building a billion-dollar fortune in the entertainment business is extraordinarily rare but certainly not impossible, as evidenced by Steven Spielberg, worth an estimated $3 billion, and George Lucas, worth an estimated $3.9 billion.

I am Looking for Laptop Bags

I just had my laptop last week. It’s Acer Aspire 4715z. :D

I am happy with it of course…but the thing is, I kinda find it hard carrying that bulky bag. :(

And my shoulders are nearly sore coz it’s heavy. Well, the lappy itself is not that heavy, but the thing is since the bag is a messenger/sling bag typical laptop carrier, it’s really hard for me. Especially when riding on a public jeepney. huhuhu

So I’m looking for laptop bags. :)

Something that’s fashionable enough for me. :D

Actually, I’ve seen one..or more (i still have my eyes on all of them..hehe), it’s a store located in Manila. Yep it will let me travel for an hour to get there via plane.Nope, nah, they’re offering delivery! yepppiii.. But err, still have my decision on hold yet… :D

Anyway, if you are like me who has that problem.. you need take a look at their website: Click on the link or go directly to their website

Scientists Closer to Developing Invisibility Cloak

I’m sure you’ve seen an invisibility cloak on the movies already. Most especially the ones in Harry Potter movies. Honestly, when I saw that on Harry, I was thinking “could it possibly happen?”. Well, i guess, there could be a possibility! Now that Scientists are having their studies on developing an invisibility cloak! And I hope it’s for real…. :D

What do you think? I’m sure there are a lot of advantages and disadvantages to this…

Here’s the news about the topic:

WASHINGTON - Scientists say they are a step closer to developing materials that could render people and objects invisible.

Researchers have demonstrated for the first time they were able to cloak three-dimensional objects using artificially engineered materials that redirect light around the objects. Previously, they only have been able to cloak very thin two-dimensional objects.

The findings, by scientists at the University of California, Berkeley, led by Xiang Zhang, are to be released later this week in the journals Nature and Science.

I was saddened by this news… :(
I really had fun watching this guy on Charlie’s Angels, Transformers and Oceans Movies. :(
Yes, actor, comedian Bernie Mac died last Saturday at the age of 50.

Bernie Mac blended style, authority and a touch of self-aware bluster to make audiences laugh as well as connect with him. For Mac, who died Saturday at age 50, it was a winning mix, delivering him from a poor childhood to stardom as a standup comedian, in films including the casino heist caper “Ocean’s Eleven” and his acclaimed sitcom “The Bernie Mac Show.”

Though his comedy drew on tough experiences as a black man, he had mainstream appeal — befitting inspiration he found in a wide range of humorists: Harpo Marx as well as Moms Mabley; squeaky-clean Red Skelton, but also the raw Redd Foxx.
Mac died Saturday morning of complications from pneumonia in a Chicago-area hospital, his publicist, Danica Smith, said in a statement from Los Angeles.
